Here at Coquet Vets we strive to provide oral care and treatment to the highest of standards. Our dedicated dental suite includes state of the art dental radiography (X-ray) and ultrasonic dental cleaning allowing us to accurately assess and treat all aspects of oral and dental disease. Our Vet team have a genuine interest in this area enabling us to offer dental treatment and care at a very high standard.
We offer free of charge dental check-ups, and we also have a range of dental products to help you manage your pet's dental health at home. All products can be bought in practice and start from £5.95.
Toothpaste and finger brush
Dog’s teeth need to be brushed daily, just like ours do. It is best to start doing it while they are young and there are no dental problems. Use it daily using the convenient finger toothbrush supplied with the paste. Dogs and cats often tolerate a finger toothbrush better than a regular brush, and the delicious beefy taste of the toothpaste will mean that your pet looks forward to tooth brushing every day!
Gum Wipes
The use of oral wipes is the next best thing to brushing. The handy wipes mean that you can keep on top of your pet’s dental hygiene quickly and easily especially when on the move.
Plaqaid
This water additive is the easiest way to help control the bacteria population in your pet’s mouth. By adding this to your pet’s fresh water every day, you can help to reduce the bacteria in the saliva and on the teeth and gums. Not all pets take to Plaqaid straight away, so start with a small amount first then gradually build up to the recommended daily amount.
