Repeat Prescriptions
Some of our patients will need to be on long term medications and treatments and will be put on a repeat prescription. To enable our Vets to continue to provide your animals with repeat medications we have to examine them every 6 months. This will sometimes need to be more frequent and this repeat prescription check-up does carry a cost. We try to give 3 months worth of medications at once, although this time period is at the vet’s discretion.
Repeat prescriptions can be ordered over the phone, but we ask for 48 hours notice so we can ensure we have the medications in stock and ready for you.
Written prescriptions: We are happy to provide you with written prescriptions at your request for most medications. One script can give you up to 3 months worth of medications / treatments. We can only provide 1 months written prescriptions for controlled drugs. We charge for written prescriptions and send the scripts directly to your pharmacy of choice.

When patients are due medication, such as repeat prescriptions, flea, tick and worming, or even food orders, please contact us by email at prescriptions@coquetvets.co.uk and include your pet’s name, your surname, and how many months worth of the treatment is required.
