Veterinary Surgeon
Gemma graduated from the University of Liverpool Vet School in 2008. She spent two years working in rural mixed practice in Yorkshire, followed by a stint of locuming and charity work across the globe, including a calving season in New Zealand and rabies control in India, before returning to small animal practice in the UK.
In 2014, Gemma embarked on her surgery certificate, which she completed with merit five years and two babies later! She now works with a passion for surgery and pain management in older patients, and she is excited to develop the orthopaedic services at Coquet Vets.
Outside of work, Gemma enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, working on their smallholding, and running with her dog, Furlo.
