Meg grew up locally, where she developed her love of all animals. She studied agriculture at Newcastle University and, in 2001, obtained her PGCE. She now teaches part-time at a secondary school.
In her own time, Meg enjoys riding her horses, spending time with her husband and three girls, and looking after her many rescued dogs and cats.
