We Are Celebrating Our 2nd Year Anniversary Today!

How time flies when you're busy and a global pandemic unexpectedly occurs! We cannot believe we have been open for two years. Admittedly, a large majority of the first year was spent in lockdown, but we are pleased to say the business is going from strength to strength.

Our initial team of four (two vets and two nurses) plus three (Winston, Iona and The Fonze) has now evolved to a team of eight (three vets, two nurses, a trainee nurse and two receptionists), plus five (Winston, Iona, Bond, Rhum and Polly).

We are still overwhelmed by the amount of local support for our independent business and have a wonderful client base, which continues to grow. Our Coquet Pet Club seems to have gone down a treat offering routine preventative health care at a sensible cost, and we are so pleased to hear reports that clients find our care to be friendly and personal, yet professional.

The two years have had its highs and lows and we have had to sadly say goodbye to some newly found friends. The highs have outweighed the lows, however, with lots of success stories. A particular high was our Christmas Fair, which really did put us in the Christmas spirit. The clinic was rammed full of Christmas delights, clients, and patients and really made us feel like a part of the Amble community.

So what's next.....? We aim to continue to grow and offer excellent care to our clients and patients. As well as seeing our poorly patients, we will continue to help to promote preventative health care as well as help to educate our clients with regular news articles and case studies. We have a dog first aid course in April aimed to help our dog owners do the right thing in emergency situations - this is in aid of our dog charity SHAK, as well as Macmillian Cancer Support, as Emily, one of our vets, is walking 26 miles for this deserving cause.

A massive thank you to all that have supported us over the past two years, we certainly all feel proud to be part of the Coquet Vet's team.
