We are pleased to share the exciting news that our Student Veterinary Nurse, Danni, has the golden opportunity to travel to Africa next year for an academic trip to research the DNA of Rhino's as part of her training program.

This training placement will enable Danni to gain invaluable experience through exposure to practical and hands on skills in the wildlife veterinary field. Danni will be working with Endangered Species and Wildlife Veterinarians in their role of Anti-Poaching and taking part in lectures to learn about the Big Five.

The 2-week training placement, which is for Vet Students, Vet Nurses or in Pre-Vet Studies, is being arranged by Gap Africa Projects and will focus on the Big 5 Game Reserve in South Africa. Danni found out about the training placement through her college and was excited by the opportunity to take part in activities such as white rhino DNA tagging, elephant contraception darting, and learning how to track different species.

Although the trip is scheduled for June 2023, Danni is now actively fundraising to raise much needed funds to enable her to take part in this academic trip. If you would like to donate to help fund this unique Veterinary experience, any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
