In our most recent newsletter, we shared what the Coquet Vets team had been up to in their spare time over September. The team were out and about in the local community, getting involved in various charity activities and local initiatives. Here’s a little update on what they did over last month.

Our vet, Sarah, took on a charity run to help raise funds for JJ's Cat Rescue. Sarah completed the Buttermere Skyline Run, which is a 27km hilltop route in the Lake District, and she absolutely smashed it! Sarah was the third veteran woman, 37/93 woman, and 182/365 overall! Her total time was 5 hours, 18 minutes, and 27 seconds.

Our veterinary nurse, Emma, completed the Great North Run in support of the Guide Dogs charity. Emma raised £300 and also did amazingly well, completing the run in two hours and thirty minutes.

Our vet, Gemma, and her dog, Furlo, also completed the 66-mile St. Cuthbert's Way in September. They are raising money towards the Felton Recreation Field Generation Project and hope to fund new children's play equipment.

Gemma also presented at the launch of the Coquet River Action Group (GRAG), which was formally launched on 12th September. CRAG aims to work with local communities, landowners, and businesses to help maintain and improve the water quality, health, and biodiversity of the River Coquet and its catchment.

Well done to everyone in the team for all their efforts to support the local community and these great charities.
