On Saturday the 17th of August, Coquet Vets will be hosting the Warkworth dog show at Warkworth Show. There will be lots of great things to get involved in this year, including an Agility Race, Terrier Racing, and Dog Show Classes.
The Agility Race
This will be an agility course with different obstacles, and anyone can enter their dog for this. You can also let them have as many goes as you like.
Between 10.30am and 12pm, there will be a chance to practice to see if your dog is able to do the obstacle course. Each dog will be timed doing the agility course, and the quickest time will win. The winners will then compete against each other until we have found the ultimate winner.
Dog Classes
Dog Classes will be held from 1pm and will then run every 15 minutes as follows:
1pm: Best young dog under 1 year
1.15pm: Golden oldie over 7 years
1.30pm: Best Talent (show us your dog’s tricks)
1.45pm: Waggiest Tail
2pm: Fancy Dress +/- Owner
2.15pm: Best rescue Dog
2.30pm: The Dog That Judges Would Most Like to Take Home
Terrier Racing
We will also have Terrier Racing (all breeds). This will start at approximately 2.45pm and will be held down at the moat. We will have different breed categories, such as smaller breeds, medium breeds, and then large breeds. The quickest from each of these classes will be put into one race to find the ultimate winner.
The Agility Race and Terrier Racing are £1 entry. The Dog Classes will cost £2 per dog. All proceeds will go to the charity, SHAK—Safe Homes and Kindness.
We are selling early bird tickets and brochures in practice. They are cheaper than paying on the day, so call in to purchase. Cash only, please.
